How much does an electrician cost?

The cost of electrical works depends on several factors: how much cabling is needed, whether conduits are recessed or surface mounted, the condition of your fuse box, and whether any chasing or demolition work is involved. Adding a socket to an existing wall is different from running a circuit to an upper floor without a conduit.

The type of work also plays a part. Connecting a charging point or home battery requires extra protection and sometimes an adjustment to the fuse box. Every situation is different, and that is precisely why we do not publish fixed rates that in practice do not fit anyway.

A site visit is the most reliable basis for a price. We then see with our own eyes how your installation is put together, where the cables run and what protection is in place. That way we avoid surprises later and you get a quote that matches reality.

During that visit we also discuss your longer term plans, for example a charging point or home battery that will be added later. That helps to build the installation properly from the start and avoid unnecessary duplicate costs.

After the visit we draw up a quote with a clear description of the work and the materials. You can see exactly what you are paying for, without separate items you do not understand. If you have questions about the hourly rate or about a particular part, we will explain it calmly.
