We get your board and installation in order, safe and ready to add new technologies.
Anyone who wants to add solar panels, a charging point or a heat pump sometimes runs into the limitations of the installation itself. A consumer unit that was fitted years ago is not always designed for what is being added today. In that case it makes sense to renew the foundations first before you build on them.
For us, modernising comes down to two things: getting safety in order and making room for whatever you still want to connect.
An old distribution board often lacks the protections that are standard today. Think of a residual current device that cuts the power in the event of a leakage current, or enough circuit breakers to divide the circuits neatly. A new board brings those things up to standard.
At the same time, a renewed board makes everything clearer. Circuits are clearly divided and there is room to add a charging point or an extra circuit later without turning everything upside down.
An electrical installation must comply with the AREI, the regulations that determine the safety of installations. This comes into play during a sale, a renovation or an inspection. We bring the installation up to standard so that it can pass the AREI inspection.
We do not limit ourselves to what is strictly required. Where we see unsafe situations, such as outdated wiring or missing earthing, we raise them and address them as well.
A modernised installation is the starting point for everything you want to do afterwards. You can only connect a charging point, a home battery, an inverter or an EMS smoothly once the board and the cabling are ready for it.
By looking at this together, you avoid having work carried out twice. When modernising, we already take your plans for the coming years into account.
